40 as a pitcher can be much different than as a position player. While I don't expect him to be a cy young candidate at age 40, but his pitching style doesn't really fit the mold of fall off a cliff level.

40 as a pitcher can be much different than as a position player. While I don't expect him to be a cy young candidate at age 40, but his pitching style doesn't really fit the mold of fall off a cliff level.

I see him pitching well but having a pitch count cap at around 75. I don't see his count hitting higher than 85 much, especially for the 2nd and 3rd seasons. If he can average 6+IP per start then that contract is worth. Anything less the Mets p much burned a hole in their wallets.
