Finally getting around to the Yuffie DLC. She is fun as hell to play

How much gametime should I expect from this?

I think the average is 4-5 hours for the plot and then up to 20 hours for the side stuff.

I'm really loving Fort Condor but sadly it was too short. Wish they had a much more expansive version of the game.

    Maybe in Part 2?

Almost raged thinking we'll only get the CC trailer, thankfully they delivered (albeit not much was shown lol)

I'm just glad they confirmed it to be 3 parts only. And it comes out next winter? 2023 could be pretty damn epic. Hope that means FF16 is coming earlier in the summer

Since the english YT hasn't got the video yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvN2KX7iPjg
3 parts confirmed is nice and them actually announcing a release date in a semi-reasonable timeframe

There is zero chance it actually gets released next winter, I trust this team about as far as I can throw them to actually meet a deadline.

I figured Reunion was a lock for the name of Part 3 but they are using that for the Crisis Core remaster it seems

I trust them to release it on time if not just a month delayed. Remember when they first revealed the remake video in 2015 and then was basically quiet on it until 2019 E3 where they unleashed a presentation + game demonstration + playable demo? The game was ready 1 year after in April.

Don't forget the struggles between 2015-2019 to the point where they brought it back in house and then redeveloped (if I remember correctly) from there

Did anyone find the Crisis Core graphics/models a bit odd? It looked like a Nier Replicant job/remaster. So it looks good, just not as good as FFVIIR.

That's because CC is not a full remake, it seems like a big HD remaster to me.

Can't wait to see the original CGI that was slapped on them UMD however many years ago be played in 480p stretched to 4k and look terrible, it was already not looking good during their presentation but it was about what I expected.

The price of remasters sure is high.

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is the second story in the FINAL FANTASY VII remake series which tells the story of the iconic fantasy game that redefined the RPG genre, in three distinct games. At launch, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE was celebrated by players and critics alike, selling over five million copies worldwide. FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is slated to launch next Winter for PS5.

FINAL FANTASY VII remake series Creative Director, Tetsuya Nomura said, “As revealed on the broadcast, there are currently four FINAL FANTASY VII projects being developed in parallel. Although each of the four titles plays a different role, they are all connected through the high-quality depictions of FINAL FANTASY VII’s world and characters. As someone who was involved with the development of each and every one of the original titles, I deeply understand the vision and thoughts behind each project, and I am actively involved in the development process for all four titles.

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is being designed so that people can enjoy this game whether they know the original game or not. In fact, new players might even enjoy starting their FINAL FANTASY VII journey with FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH. Cloud and his friends embark on a new journey in this game, and I believe that the scenes that they witness after leaving Midgar will give players a fresh, new experience. I can’t wait to share the intention behind naming the first title, “REMAKE,” and the second title, “REBIRTH.” In time, I hope to reveal what the third title will be called, and where this journey will ultimately lead.

The development of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH has been progressing rapidly since we adopted a new development structure. A title of this scale in which everything is interconnected even before production began is truly rare. In fact, some development has already begun on the third title. I myself have started on the development and am working towards the completion of the series.

We will work to deliver this title to fans with the same amount of enthusiasm from now until we reach the finish line. In the meantime, please enjoy the other 25th anniversary projects that further expand the world of FINAL FANTASY VII.”

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH Director Naoki Hamaguchi said, “I am overjoyed that we are able to announce FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH and I feel a strong sense of duty to deliver the ultimate FINAL FANTASY VII experience to all the fans eagerly awaiting this game. The development has already entered full production and the team is highly motivated in putting everything together on the project and working to create a finished game. The FINAL FANTASY VII remake project will be a three-part trilogy, but FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is much more than just one installment in the series. We are developing it with all of the passion and dedication needed to create an original game and plan to deliver the ultimate gameplay and world building experience. Trust me, it will be worth the wait!”

Yoshinori Kitase, FINAL FANTASY VII remake series Producer and FINAL FANTASY VII Director said, “We have officially announced that the second title FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will be released next winter, approximately three years after the original FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE released in April 2020. Three years may feel like a long time for all the fans who are eagerly awaiting the next game, but we want to offer the best experience possible and reassure everyone that development is proceeding at an astonishingly fast pace for such a large-scale HD title. Making the middle part of a trilogy has its own challenges, but there are plenty of classic second installments in the world of film that are defined by stunning story twists and deeper explorations of their characters. Often these second installments become a favorite amongst the fans. In the same vein, we are aiming to make FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH an even more gripping and memorable experience than FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, so please wait a little longer while we finish up.”
For players who have yet to experience the 2020 Game Awards’ Best RPG, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE will launch tomorrow, June 17th, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. Pacific on STEAM® with full Steam Deck compatibility. The enhanced and expanded version of the game includes an additional episode starring Yuffie, enhanced visuals capture mode, Classic Mode difficulty and more. To celebrate the launch, players can purchase the game at a 29% off discount via STEAM® from June 17th, 2022 to June 23rd, 2022 at 10 a.m. Pacific.* FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is rated T (Teen).

I do like the subtle message at the beginning of the trailer though... definitely telling us it can go anywhere now!

"fuck the old games, it's done. look forward to what we are going to show you/do"
