What's the level cap and any changes to Hard Mode/NG+

level cap is 70, when you complete the game you get a chapter select, you can choose to play each chapter individually on Hard mode with all your items and such carried over, same rules as Remake apply, no items in battle and benches only heal HP, if your relationship with each party member is high enough you can choose via the menu who will go on the gold saucer date with you, for collectables purposes later.

Edit- oh forgot, if you carry over data to a new game you can choose to carry over quest completion data or not, so you can either redo the quests or already have them completed, quests that were only partially completed when you select a new chapter or start a new game have to be restarted.

they did p good getting the difficulty on normal high enough you have to engage with the game's systems, especially with some optional fights, especially compared to XVI, but i fuckin hate the practice of gating hard behind game completion.

Don’t forget, the term “hard” mode is a bit of a misleading name, all the fights are tuned for max level so it’s more accurate to call it challenge mode or something.

Mebbe Im blind but I cant find a path that actually goes to Fort Condor lol. Where do I go for that

Also I guess what I really meant here was the Condor watching quest and not Fort Condor. I see a quest marker and can't get to it. Unless thats progression related too

Every area is honestly incredible and so much detail, but Gold Saucer, holy shit. I just got here and every time I'm like eh I don't think the set pieces can get more over the top, I'm wrong. This is amazing.

just as a tip if anyone gets frustrated with 3D Brawler, 2 of the collectables are locked behind finishing it, but you can pause buffer the enemy inputs so you can react quicker to them if it gets too difficult doing it the proper way, also this version of Chocobo Racing could be its own game, I really hope they either expand it in the third game or just flat out make it its own game with a ton of races, heck maybe even a track creator.

Funny enough. After having some trouble with stages 3 and 4 on normal. I beat stage 4 on Hard on my first try lol

Yah uhh I beat all 4 hard modes on my first try. All I can say is git gud son

Trebuchets mostly soloed 1,2 and 4 for me on Hard Mode, Gears and Gambits is a bit harder on Hard mode for me, gotta finish the last couple of them on hard mode still

I mostly like playing as Tifa because her combat is so fun, sometimes use Barret when ranged cheese is called for. But using Red is fun too cause once you get two ATB charges up you can just be like STARDUST RAY BITCHES wubwubwub

all the characters have their own fun quirks, Yuffie is REALLY good for exploiting weaknesses, Doppelganger, Elemental Ninjutsu's and spam are amazing, the only one who is kind of quirky is Cait Sith, but I basically just abuse summoning the moogle, turnng it into a bomb and then launching it at enemies, Aerith with Radiant Ward and ATB Ward to spam attacks to build the whole parties ATB is nice as well.

Tifa is in fact just a beast though, stagger things and alternate using Unbridled Strength and Omnistrike over and over, easily get enemies to 300% stagger for the achievement, and Omnistrike just hits REALLY hard on its own, can spam it quickly and watch enemy/boss HP's just get chunked in seconds.

I'm maining Yuffie most of the time. As long as you can pressure a mob with an element - use Ninjutsu + Doppleganger and blow everything up, heck, even without elemental weakness she just wrecks havoc on the battlefield with aoe skills together with her clone
