His butthole.
His butthole.
Agree with last few posters including the butthole thing.
Okay I'm finally getting to playing this and I am at Satan's trial (sit-up game) and now have a question.
I know have to beat Jules to get the trophy for the inn. And someone said that beating him again is necessary to get all the weapon unlock books on hard mode. Does that mean I can just skip doing the sit ups right now and get the trophy and the book later in hard mode or do I have to clear the Jules twice?
Wait theres a harder mode of Jules?? I still haven't cleared his original one lol
I read that quests have to be redone to get all the weapon books. If I know I have to repeat Jules I feel like it's not worth doing it this time around because it would be more efficient to try once I'm in sync to grind out two victories rather than have to relearn the muscle memory.
However I'm unclear on what gives the weapon books and what doesn't.
Also on this subject... Can I just skip all the side quests the first clear and then do them all on the hard mode clear then, or will I miss things that way?

Afaik no, he just means doing it during Hard Mode playthrough
@Gred I haven't done hard mode myself yet, but I don't think so, if you're talking about the manuscript, you only need to do his quest to kill some monsters I believe. Quick research tells me no mini games need to be repeated. Only certain fights in side quests.
You don’t have to repeat Jules minigame. You only have to repeat the Gold Saucer minigames for the final side quest. Mini games are harder when you play on hard mode so keep that in mind.
You can skip the minigames and side quests in normal and save for hard mode if you want but that will just make things more difficult for you. I don’t recommend it.
Okay doing the mini games when they are easier makes sense, what's the reason to do the side quests first if I have to repeat them for the books?

How the hell are you supposed to tell the difference between the straights and the hooks in this 3D brawler game?
You can’t do the sidequest until the end of the game, it’s literally the last thing that unlocks before you reach the point of no return (at least until new game+ opens chapter select)
You could skip doing the mini games until the sidequest unlocks near the end but you would miss out on getting the rewards earlier in your playthrough when they initially unlock
And yeah for the brawler game just cheese it and pause
You can also cheese the sit ups minigame by turning off adaptive triggers on the controller settings
I beat Jules way faster than it is taking me to get A rank in "Two legs? Nothin' to it"
WtfSpoiler: show
Is doing the Mooglet capture on normal difficulty required for anything or can I set it for the extra hits and still get Johnny trophies?
The fact you have to redo the entire gauntlet rather than restarting the Brutal combat sims at the round that kills you (including the imperfect HP/MP) is such a time suck.
I'm still just outside Costa del sol and everything in this game is a time sink. As much as I love the series I'm really close to just main lining the story cause I'm almost 40hrs in and still absolutely nowhere lol

Honestly, just cheese them with Magic builds if needed, Instant Cast Aeroga's that refill MP and HP and hit for 20K+ damage per cast makes short work out of pretty much all of them.
