They seem to purposefully avoiding like the first like quarter of the game since the trailer starts with meteor is already summoned so i'd imagine we'd still go there before hand.

If you keep Cloud around for all the important battles against Formav, they explain that the Cloud they brought to Ivalice was a creation of the stones. It has a copy of his consciousness from the Lifestream but the body was made by the stones. So he's not the "real" Cloud.
