Neal Adams was genuinely revolutionary in comic art, one of those Jack Kirby-like figures whose work influences the entire genre. Also a huge advocate of creator's rights.

Maybe not celebrity, but former Michigan State basketball standout Adreian Payne has died at the age of 31. Spent a few years in the NBA and Euroleague through 2021, but may be most remembered for befriending (as did the team on the whole that year) 8 year old Lacey Holsworth in her battle with cancer. Lacey passed in 2014.
