I finally got got 11 days ago and just now turning human again. Bedridden for 4 days, nausea, severe body aches, cough, burning in top part of my lungs, burning smell in my nostrils, and i was funnelling niagra falls out my balloon knot for 4 days. Finally vertical and moving again, but i also got the rare Covid toe. Fucking hurts to be on my feet. I just want to work out again, damnit.
Jill Biden gots the rona.
On the work related side, I told HR Monday morning I tested positive. They just said come back in 5 days (normal days not work days) I work 12 hr shifts, 2 on, 2 off. Monday, Thursday, Friday are my day offs this week, so I’m only missing 2 days. I also can’t go on short term disability apparently because it is only 2 days despite them being 12 hour days, so I have to just not get paid or use vacation time.
What state Souj? Some states are mandating paid covid leave. California gives people 80 hours for example.
The 80hrs paid thing was a federal bill that expired at start of 2021 and I don’t think Illinois has done anything to replace it.
Fuck. Slept 12 hours last night, was literally falling asleep after waking up and tired until I took a nap at noon that lasted 4 hours. Was still a little tired but ended up snapping out of it. Now it’s 3am and I’m still unable to go to sleep.
My job still offers 5 days of covid leave, whether you have it or need to use it to take care of someone else.
Should move to California. California refreshed it but I think it expires in September now.

Working in emergency services, we have to use our own PTO. It’s p great
So, after the covid outbreak last week, the home daycare I use shutdown and was set to reopen- my kid caught it so couldn’t have gone regardless and the person who runs the daycare also caught it early last week. So I was set on taking my kid back tomorrow. The first week was fine because I had the whole week off work, but yesterday and today was a challenge. (Wife works at home and I work nights so I (don’t) sleep during the day. Tonight, just a few minutes ago, daycare lady says one of her kids just tested positive for covid.
Daycare lady’s saying it’s fine to bring him since he aldready got covid. Still feels shitty to bring him, and he’s fine only if she’s got the same strain he had, but I don’t know if I can do another week of this.
Hmm. I didn't know that BA4 was still being supported with patches.

Vote expected Thursday to authorize the BA.5 booster, expected to be available shortly after Labor Day (next week)
Well, our luck finally ran out. Wife has popped hot. I havent tested but I feel low grade shitty, assuming I have it too. We're both fully vaxed and boosted, hopefully this stays minor and doesn't blossom into something special.
Sorry Mal. I hope you have plenty extra strength Tylenol and some Gatorade.
Anyway.. does anyone know how long you have to wait to get the booster after having Covid? I had it on July 12th. Tested negative two weeks later.

My doctor told me last year to wait 8 weeks.
The pharmacist jabbed me 4 weeks after i had it.
