I've been getting flu shots since I moved to the MEDDAC 20 years ago. Didnt even know they had flu shots until then. The only times since then that I've gotten the flu is when I delayed getting the shot for w/e reason and my super-boomer antivax coworker gave it to me.

before that was pretty spotty. like if i were in the doctor's office and they offered it i'd be like sure, why not, but i never actively went in to get it

Me, I usualy get that flu shot at my doctor's office when I go in for my annual physical. No fuss, no muss, just get the freaking shot. I don't have time to be down with the flu..

Well, this is the worst I've felt from any of the covid shots. Low grade fever, headache, body ache, and the obligatory injection site pain. Only had the arm pain with the others.

I'm going to Japan in November, so my plan is to get both the flu and covid booster. Probably on the same day. Probably gonna get punched in the face by it.

I haven't checked prices since before covid, but back in 2019 it was ridiculous how different the prices were based on regions.

Flight out of Memphis where I am was over 1500. NYC was like 350. I could have flown to NYC for 150 round trip then 350 round trip to Japan for $1000 less than a round trip out of Memphis itself.

Youngest daughter got her second (of three) shots yesterday. Finally found a dr office that had the under 5 shots and was willing to let us make appointments. Feels good to have the whole family protected finally. Now the adults of the family just need to get the booster for the current variants.
