Why the fuck not? They already mandate a bunch of other vaccines
Those other vaccines aren't a political talking point for election cycles.

Evangeline annoys me too, because she doesn't come out and say she's against vaccinations she just says she's pro choice when it comes to mandates. At the same time she doesn't tell her adoring fans to get vaccinated either.
I'm so tired of the idea that you should have the freedom to be a preventable burden on the hospital system.

Not only are they being a simple burdon of more work, some of them are *actively aggressive and assault medical workers*. It's infuriating. The ER has posters up in each hallway now that says "hey we're just doing our jobs, do not assault us k".

In the U.S., violence against health care workers has been going up for the last decade. It took an even sharper turn at the start of the pandemic.
The International Committee of the Red Cross compiles data on COVID-19-related attacks against health care workers. It published a guide that noted incidents of harassment, threats or stigma due to allegations employees were spreading the virus.

It also surged another 57% from 2019 to 2020, with another 17% increase the following year.
In addition to the badges, the health system has also started a new campaign called Behind the Mask with posters in patient rooms, hospital hallways, and the community. The idea is to help community members understand that behind every medical mask is a mother, father, wife, neighbor or someone else simply trying to help.
It's actually wild how much all categories of violence in general have surged since 2020. Not trying to downplay the situation with healthcare workers at all of course.
