They def have been overworking me the past two weeks. Tried to change processes to make it better/efficient, got told off in an unprofessional way, went to the lab manager who said don't worry about it they're all getting fired soon anyways

I also tried to distance myself today, but my supervisor told me to work even though I had a full day of overtime before I even clocked in today. Then I tried to stay away from the staff and collectors, but again got told off in an unprofessional way infront of the patients even. Hope the person in particular feels gross tomorrow

I got got fam. Took me 2 years but I finally turned up positive. only had to wait 4 hours for results at least...

Super sore throat which has been the prevailing symptom people tell me they had since omicron came up in the news. We don't sequence it to see what strain it is though so who knows what strain we actually have.

Hope you feel better. Just found out my step mother had it in October. She was vaccinated, but still was bed ridden for two weeks. Couldn't even make it from bedroom to bathroom without having to sit on the couch for a few minutes cause she would be sucking air after just a couple dozen steps.

LAUSD requires weekly testing, so my school was offering testing on campus today in prepping for going back to school next week.

AP said there are a bunch already positive when I went so it'll be interesting to see what happens on Monday.

At my son's school we have several staff and students out with COVID but everyone got sick and tested positive over Christmas break. So far no one has tested positive after being at the school. Regular health screenings and testings hopefully will help. We held our son out of school this week to see how it all panned out. Still nervous about sending him back to school. He is fully vaccinated but his little brother and sister are not vaccinated at home.

All patient-facing workers where I work now required to wear a KN95 mask, which they probably should've done like a few weeks ago tbh. Luckily I bought my own box of 50 that arrived this week. They're also having us scan in our proofs of booster shots to the HR system which is not yet required for employment but may be in the near future.
