It's less about acting like it's "no big deal" and more about thinking a bunch of LARPers charging the capitol without guns or military backing is an actual coup attempt.

This isn't the right thread to discuss this but you haven't been following the court cases closely. There were armed members on top of the fact that we will never really know how many because NONE of them were arrested that day, just let to leave with their privilege cards intact. On top of that Chris Miller ensured capitol police remained un-armed and kept their gear *locked* inside of a truck. It was a coup, just because they sucked at it and failed didn't make it a not a coup. Go back and watch the impeachment #2 presentations if you need.

Ah yes, let's equate storming the capitol with the intent to hang government officials and smearing shit all over the walls while holding confederate flags and stealing government property with burning down buildings because you're tired of systemic racism and subsequent injustice.

US Trucker protests hinted for the Super Bowl and State of the Union.

The DHS “has received reports of truck drivers potentially planning to block roads in major metropolitan cities in the United States in protest of, among other things, vaccine mandates. The convoy will potentially begin in California early as mid-February, potentially impacting the Super Bowl scheduled for 13 February and the State of the Union address scheduled for 1 March,” according to a memo obtained by The Hill.

While it notes the protests include no plans for violence, “if hundreds of trucks converge in a major metropolitan city, the potential exists to severely disrupt transportation, federal government operations, commercial facilities and emergency services through gridlock and potential counter protests.”

The memo notes that the convoy plans to travel from California to Washington, D.C., and that drivers from Canada may join.

TBH I'm not really upset that these people are copying BLM tactics I'm upset they think being forced to receive 2 to 3 harmless injections is some grand violation of human rights that must be stopped at all cost.
