I think Harbaugh realized that Michigan isn't remotely on the same plane of existence as some other programs, so even if he makes the College Playoffs, there is very little chance of success. I bet he was heading to the NFL either way, while his value is at the highest.

Not entirely true. They can save $35 of the $45 dead cap hit, if they trade him after June 1. Just looking at a row on Spotrac never explains this lol. The problem is creating a trade after June 1, unless they do something under the table and hope the partner doesn't back out.

Nerd numbers back my eyes up that the Bengals defense didn't actually get to Mahomes that often in that game.

The Bengals pressured Mahomes 14 total times in that game resulting in 4 sacks.
The Chiefs actually pressured Burrow more than the Bengals pressured Mahomes. 16 times for 1 sack.

For an apples to apples comparison the Bills pressured Mahomes 21 total times in the Chiefs/Bills game resulting in 2 sacks.

They switched up the scheme to play more single high and also dropping 8 into coverage. First half they played more 2 high zone.
