From what I remember wasn't it already known that the Texans wanted to hire McCown a year ago, but they felt he wasn't ready to be a head coach so they were hiring Culley as a lame duck HC for a couple years until eventually replacing him with McCown? They just spend up the process firing Culley after only a year
