I think you should! I think your blade progress transfers over, and they add a bunch of blades and abilities over. No reason not to.

I haven't done new game plus but ill see i can squeeze in a playthrough before September.

I know I gotta do the new content for Xenoblade 1: DE too.

My only concern was NG vs NG+, is there enough character "progression" to keep NG+ interesting. Or are most of my blades gonna be maxed out from the start and I won't have much to do

I mean, Xenoblade 2 was as close to a Gacha we could reasonably get lol. But you're not wrong, theres a lot of potentials for a Waifu collector Xenoblade title, wonder why they've never dabbled in it.

Clearly the interest is there from the fans. You literally put a "collect-a-waifu" and "build-a-waifu" system into your game. Just make a smartphone side game with full pulls and all that money-extracting shit. Why choose the lesser evil? You've already chosen the path of injecting anime tiddies into the game, regardless of whether they actually fit within the game's setting or not, lol.

Just go whole hog and reap record profits at this point.

I could see Nintendo absolutely try to capitalize on this with an offshoot xeno game.

That said, as much as I want to believe someone at Monolithsoft may have some morals and not green light a gacha game, the more likely reality is that XB game play does not translate well to mobile and would thus have to compromise on some level that fans would disapprove of. Basically, don't expect open worlds or decent action combat. I'd also say the combined casts aren't expansive enough with meaningful characters if you're really trying to pander to the nostalgia crowd. 2 may have some more story-centric blades, but most people either won't get or don't give a damn about in the end.

I mean, personally, I'd rather they just shoved all that into a gacha and leave all of the anime waifus out of the main games, but that's coming from my old Xenogears brain where all I had to worry about was a stupid fucking Chu-Chu mascot forcefully injected into the game because Japan was going through its stupid Moe phase in the mid-to-late 90's.

Again, not the biggest issue in the world, but it sticks out like a sore thumb. Rex looks like a 9-year-old and there's a literal harem of massive-tiddied women all over him. All the while, there's a pretty serious fucking plot with major world implications going on. Its just so disjointed, even if they're not literally moaning all over him and clinging to his pants legs.

Throw all of them in a gacha, let people spend thousands of dollars pulling to get the 5-star or whatever.

Mobile game quality could probably support a decent sized world. SAO:IF is a whole ass MMO-lite game and Genshin also runs on phones. Problem would be how they translate a traditional single player story into a gacha if they did indeed want to keep the open world experience.

Depends. If you plan on playing on Bringer of Chaos or doing superbosses, and also don't mind the main story being extremely easy (even with lowering your level all the way down), then do NG+ as it unlocks a few more Blades.

If you care about difficulty at all, then a NG file. My NG+ file is my 100% save, but my other files are all started from scratch.

I know theres a Pity system in that game behind the scenes, you're guaranteed to get her at some point but the number you need til pity either goes up or down depending on how full your collection is already.
