This was pretty much confirmed in a post-game quest.

Finished the expansion. Clocked in at 24hr9min. Not 100%, but probably not too far off. Overall, I wish the main game was as good as the DLC. That said, the only thing I didn't like about the expansion was the ending. Outside of that, I loved it.

Rex is still my favorite Xeno character as a whole.

So I guess Pyra/Mythra's core crystals were in the Sword/Fists of the End and Malos' is in N's sword.

Overall, I wish the main game was as good as the DLC.

Not clicking your spoilers yet, but yeah I really love this DLC so far and my biggest complaint is that it's a DLC and not a full game. I'm not complaining about the value of how much they added. More just wish this had been the narrative Xenoblade 3 main game followed instead of what we got lol
