I'm conflicted about getting the Special Edition... It looks cool, but I'd have to order it from the UK or some other country since we don't have a local Nintendo Store, which means waiting longer for the game to get here... Ofc I could just buy the normal edition too at the same time and just sell it back as soon as I get the CE copy, but all that hassle.. ughhhh.

I'll probably end up skipping the direct since I'm content with what I've seen so far and don't want too much story info. That said, I'm sure I'll run into it all over social media, so who knows.

I find Google's phone notifications to be worse than social media. I've learned to avoid spoiler tweets, but the android algorithm is really good at force feeding the content.

Xenoblade 2:Torna was so damn good that it would be ok even if they released it as a standalone game.

Expansion pack a year and a half after the release signals more solid content to keep it fresh, I'll be buying that pass.

I read that as December 2022 first during the promo, then saw it's actually 2023 and thought, damn, such a long time to wait... But I'm sure it will be worth it

Decided to watch the direct. I think they showed a little too much story stuff, but whatever. Gameplay stuff was cool. Hope you can play a specific class, but keep the clothing of whatever you want.

Got some heavy Xenosaga vibes with who are probably the "real enemy."

Same. I mean I did really enjoy Torna, but it just makes me wish I could have the main game with its tweaks.

I still need to get the XC2 Expansion. Forgot how to play most of the game but I heard it does help saddle you back into the game.

Yeah, I still need to make time for Torna before 3. Expansion pass is neat, especially from all the praise I heard about Torna, but it releasing so far apart, i'm just so far separated from the main game by that point that it is tough to get back to the DLC and why I never got around to Torna.

That kinda my worry now when I saw the dates. I only bought XB2+pass recently together so I just played the whole thing back to back, so the story was still fresh and I could appreciate Torna more.

I'm also wondering how much the extra content from XB1DE is important? I only played the original game, was thinking about getting DE but even if I bought it now I don't see myself finishing before 3, that game took me forever to get through, lol

The extra content in XB1DE isn't that important. It's just an epilogue pieced together from cut content

I'd say as far as XC3 goes, the XB1DE stuff is more important than torna as far as story goes. It's also far shorter than torna.
