Coming back from my week off today so my body is ready.
It looks so damn good, so good that I don't even want to watch it all and spoil even the tiniest details like landscape. With Mitsuda composing this has potential to be a true classic.
I also finally grabbed myself a copy of XCX, it technically feels so advanced that it doesn't feel like previous generation, at all. I only hope I get to like the music eventually as I've heard nothing but negative comments on it. A good soundtrack is not optional in a good JRPG.
I've read that as XC DE first and was like - negative comments about its OST, wtf? I didn't play XCX but did check out the soundtrack and I thought it was fine, but you do gotta like Sawano's style. But that's just listening to it in the vacuum, maybe it doesn't work too well in the game.
Holy hell at the amount of classes/jobs/character combos in that video.
I'm definitely about to NUT over the gameplay. LET'S GO.
Ugh, I STILL need to get back to the game.
..Any tips for cheesing once I get level 50 skells?
As for tracks, I cringe every time I have to go back to NLA. . but as other people note, the tracks are really hit or miss. It would be awesome to see an update of that game, cause exploration is so fun in it.
I remember using some skell cheese to oneshot a specific mob to gain XP. Don't remember what level.
Could also just go ahead and get yourself ghostwalker busted.
Yeah I ended up leveling up off one mob in..oblivia, I think? I was working on getting FMJ maxed so I could snag Ghostwalker.
I lost steam when I set it down a bit to focus on work. I'll get back to it. There's so much I like about the game, so the inconveniences are glaring sometimes (like swapping out party members..ugh).
XCX isn't really a game you just play on the side; so much side quest content and farming to be done if you're trying to experience everything, and oddly enough, the online-play is still going on, though you want to use Discord to get them done. Soundtrack over-all was really good, with some annoying tracks, and it desperately needs a sequel, though I feel Nintendo consoles hold the series back.
Agreed on both counts. When I did play it I was all in and focused on it. Had crap for energy to focus on it, cause it's not just a 'oh let me pick this up for a little bit'.
It took me a while to warm up to it, but when I did, great pay off.
I've often day dreamed about what a pc/playstation/Xbox XBC would look like. With how much detail they manage to push in on such underpowered hardware it'd prolly be nuts.
That's the main and really only thing I'm worried about with 3. Slowdown got really bad in some places in 2, if 3's environments are as rich as they look in the trailers I'm concerned about performance issues.
According to people who have played the game, the game not only looks better but runs much better than XC2. Now that could just be them blowing smoke, but there is at least hope.
I've never considered xbc et al on a different console, though I thought it was one of the best looking games of the PS3/360/Wii generation. Ultimately I'm here for the gameplay and story. If graphics meant that much to me, I would never replay older games.
The full game leaked tonight.
As with that, also massive spoilers. Stay safe out there.
