Was reading through some of the buffs and nerfs on Smogon, and there were some ups and downs until I got to Grimmsnarl.

So, a pretty useful tip I just heard on one video from a person that already played the game and something I haven't heard mentioned before - from the three story paths, the titans path is very useful because it unlocks new traversal abilities for your mount.
Reviews are out. MC: 78 / OP: 76
Consensus seems to be: good game, really bad performance issues. A lot of people thinking Gamefreak just needs to be given more time to make new mainline Pokemon games.
Pokemon games have looked like ass and run like ass for awhile, maybe gamefreak are just bad devs and more time won't change that.
from one of the sites that shall not be namedIt is, by far, the worst-running Pokémon game I have ever played, and among the worst-running AAA games I’ve played on the Switch so far. And yes, this is with the day one patch
And it will still sell like crazy because Pokemon fans love eating shit.
Speaking of eating

If the graphic quality had noticeably improved sure, but aren't the game still largely using the same assets from the 3DS versions?
Get monolith soft to help make the next one. Xenoblade games have performance issues too but they're also much more graphically dense. Imagine they'd be able to get the relatively simplistic style of a pokemon game to run smooth
Monolith soft should just be brought on to make all the first party switch games at this point.
Pls no. Let them work on more Xeno games
Monolith should focus on their own games instead of helping other nintendo studios out.
Was going to buy the game, but performance issues make me say no.
Super disappointing… was about to pull the trigger for my birthday.
I've only been skimming reviews to avoid spoilers. Are the performance issues only in undocked mode, or is it just as bad when docked?
Oof. Was gonna pick Scarlet up for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift but maybe I'll hold off for now and see if they do anything to address it first.
I’ve been playing since last night and I haven’t personally seen any issues other then a bit of stuttering when lots of things are on screen, but your mileage may vary
Idk if you're just not noticing it or what. From the very first scene in your house the game is running at a suboptimal frame rate, and as soon as you go outside it feels like it's under 30 with frequent hitching and stuttering. Also noticed several situations where textures, shadows, and geometry were popping in despite being right next to them as early as the mansion thing where you choose your starter. The beach framerate and stuttering was also horrendous.
These areas aren't even particularly huge, I dread to see what it'll be like in bigger spots. Real glad I'm renting not buying
I was on the fence about buying this and that’s pushed me over the Not Buying line. Not going to keep rewarding the games the Pokémon company’s been continuously putting out that have such low standards but still sell solely due to the good will of a few games several decades ago.
