I'd say he looks just fine for Nordic-era Kratos.

I think dude looks perfect. Maybe I have a different view of Kratos, but I've never looked at him and thought super body builder jacked to the max. Dude is definitely muscular and toned, but it's in a slimmer form, not bulging gargantuan muscles or anything.
