The 49ers paid one of the highest prices in NFL history for a North Dakota State Project QB from the Missouri Valley Conference, that also played 0 (almost 0?) games in his latest season of college. There are several reports that the team is prepared to start Jimmy Q again in 2022 because Lance still isn't ready. Take from all that what you will, but it seems obvious to me.
Watson would make the 49ers, instantly, the best team in the NFC. Seems to me they are serious about it else they risk pissing off a QB they just spent a king's ransom on less than 365 days ago. This is them trying to convince the Texans to take a guy who a NFL team just spent a billion things to acquire. I'm sure they would have to trade Jimmy for a late first/early second and include that in the package as well. There is not a chance in hell this is for Jimmy G + the paltry picks the 49ers have available. The Texans would be miles better off seeing if Davis Mills can continue to progress than starting Jimmy G.
No shit, they would be trading the asset all those 1st rounders went toward...

One of the checkmarks is right. Usually this means at least a phone call was made, whether they will end up meeting for discussions or not.
Edit: It is also wild guys like Watson and especially Amari Cooper are still so young. It feels like Cooper has been in the league a decade
Don't know where you're hearing he's not readym maybe it's lip service, but at least in the bay area we are hearing the opposite. Even Jerry Rice has gone on record to say he thinks Lance can be something special, and I'd take his word over a random anon.

Well Joe Montana said the opposite just a month ago:
“I think you keep Jimmy until you find somebody else,” Montana said. “I don’t think Trey’s ready to play yet, myself, and after talking to some of the players. It’s one of those things that, if you can keep Jimmy healthy, he plays well enough to get you here.”
Trey Lance also isn't a sexual predator so he's got that going for him over Watson
Steve Young echoed Joe Montana on just February 19th: "‘Trey Lance is not ready."
Trey does have the lack of sexual assault thing going for him. I guess Joe Montana and Steve Young are just random anons these days in the Bay!
Progressive city of San Fran likely does, until that week 1 victory kicks in. Watson would be so, so damn good on that 49ers roster.
Honestly, I think Trey is going to be fine. His first start, with not much prep didn't go to well against Arizona, but his second start was fairly clean and simple. Nothing mind blowing, but he did what was asked for, had a near 70% completion percentage (with the caveat that it was against the Texans), and kept us alive in the playoff hunt.
It gives the effect of being a Browns/Jets/Cowboys/Jags fan without having to be a Browns/Jets/Cowboys/Jags fan.
boys fans are in full blow it all up and fire the jones' mode so idk what you're rambling about
Boys fans also every year for the past 25 has been, this is our year. But then again, their superbowl is on Thanksgiving.
boys fans or skip bayless, 'cause those are different things
there are exactly 4 teams in the last 20 where the dallas cowboys had any chance in hell at going to a championship game. 2007, 2014, 2016, and 2021. every other team sucked balls
