Ciri IS a prominent character in the Witcher universe. ‘Sides, a change of pace for the 4th game is just what we needed. Geralt is awesome and such but let us and the guy take a break.

Plus, I’ve always liked the mentor / mentee dynamic between her and Geralt.

Wonderful decision as a lead character, imo.

I got no problem with it. Also reasonable to assume this is many years, if not decades, later since Witchers have such long lifespans which explains her obviously different features. Change is scary though!

CDPR games are one case I will absolutely wait a week bare minimum after release to buy because of the cyberpunk debacle, but I do hope it turns out well. I like the Witcher games, and I'm totally down to play as Ciri.

lolz yeh hope they finally learned their lesson, Witcher 1+3 were p dang buggy at launch as well (2 somehow escaped the curse). Cyberpunk was mostly a disaster when trying to run on last gen consoles and imagine that consumed a ton of QA energy leading every version to be poorer. hopefully without splitting resources it releases with the regula amount of CRPG bugs.
