    Other than a lifetime ban, is this the longest suspension in baseball history? I can only think of Arod's one season.

    Yes you are correct.

    Also everyone is wondering if the suspension is retroactive to 2021 which means Bauer would forfeit all money paid to him during administrative leave.

    Bauer is so appealing this and I couldn't give two shits about him.

    The MLB announcement explicitly mentions it's for violations of their sexual abuse policies, so I can't imagine they have the ability to roll anything else in with it to increase the length (that would withstand an appeal).

    I do wonder what violations they're citing though, as all the charges against him were dropped and I believe he's suing the woman for defamation.
