I wonder how much of that is the deferred payments that the nationals love so goddamn much and has been a large factor in some of their big name players leaving.
Gonna hate seeing that man in a Dodgers uniform
So last walk off homer in Oracle was in 2020 by the San Diego Padres. God that COVID season was a fever dream.....

Oh that's wild, he must just really hate playing for the Nationals
So, i saw in that tweet thread, hes annual salary would be like 29.5mil or something, which 14 more players make more than that already, so that may be part of the issue...idk
15 years is a long time lol.
Someone (ie the Dodgers, we know how this goes) will offer him a higher AAV probably, but that's such an absolutely insane amount of money to pass up on. I can't fathom looking at 29.5 mil per year for the next 15 years and going "nope"
it’s a lot of money but he can “bet on himself”, get a higher AAV in a 6-7 year deal, then hit the market again for even more money
tale as old as time
anyway surely gallo and chapman straight up should do the trick, right?
ill throw in a daisy-fresh domingo german, arm has zero mileage this year!
Just imagine how many chicken buckets will be sold at Yankee Stadium with Soto there Hal!
