Rizzo gets HBP by a pitch coming into the batters box. Ump rules he didn’t make an effort to get away. Pitch was called a ball anyways. Fucking clown show.

the comments make it clear who has never swung a bat in their life
there is no place for rizzos leg to go after he picks it up to anticipate the pitch

Rizzo clearly leaned into that one. I've seen more egregious (Votto last week) but I don't mind that call at all.
Tatis is not as important to baseball as his family and David Ortiz seem to think.

the more i watch the more im happy for rojas being like “fine, fuck you then, I’ll go for it”
If you're being lectured on maturity by Manny Machado, you've fucked up.
*Cue Enter Sandman for new appearance music?*...
imagine how bad the yankees offense is gonna be next year when hal tells cashman to offer judge 20m/year and he walks

And then Kimbrel blows it lol
Elvis Andrus got released by the A's. Was throwing a fit about not starting every day as he feels he should be a starter. Has a clause in his contract where the team option in his contract becomes a player option if he reaches 550 AB's.
He was only batting .237 with 8hr and 30 rbi's.
An average-hitting SS with plus defense is a solid asset, surprised he was cut for nothing. This was his best year at the plate in 5 seasons!
4 seasons. He batted 275 in 2019.
His defense really was his only saving grace. 130th in OPS in the majors, his baserunning was awful. 7 steals to 4 caught stealing is not a good ratio at all. His day game numbers were even worse. If he played only night games against left handed pitchers, he'd be really good though.

Tell that to Joey Gallo. If he was hitting bombs and driving people in, they wouldn't care as much. A barely league average hitter with slightly above average defense isn't going to cut it on a team that's going youth movement, and there's no secondary trade deadline via waivers. So it's either keep him on the bench/platoon start and listen to him whine the rest of the year, or cut him now, eat the cost and be done with it.
