Seriously I know that the story is all over the place but am I the only one who is annoyed that prequels seems to imply Disney Characters that when you meet them in other games they have no idea what key blade are etc?

They've released so many, SO MANY, offshoots on like, mobile, web browser, Nintendo DS, 3DS, PSP, etc, etc, I'd just assume that the fan base is dedicated enough that it does well enough financially to warrant busting out a new, mostly forgettable mobile offshoot every once and a while.

I for one have not touched a single mobile/browser game in the series. Every other game on the other hand ... >_>

He didn't die. He left to go look for Kairi whom Xehanort seemed to have killed (y'know when he had 12 of the 13 keyblades complete). (Maybe she's in "The Final World," or somewhere else.)

Hate to bump this with no news about KH4, but it appears Disney caught wind that Mario, Pokemon, and Sonic IPs released successful films, and is (maybe) starting to produce a feature-length Kingdom Hearts movie for theaters.

From this week's DisInsider "mailbag" self-interview ... (wtf is this...) the person who runs this website answers several questions they claim fans regularly ask them. Among them:

You think the new Disney Studios lead could bet on videogames adaptations like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy or Fortnite after the success of Super Mario Bros, The Last Of Us, Twisted Metal, Uncharted, Free Guy, Sonic, etc??

Well, to get one thing out the way, Disney is developing an animated Kingdom Hearts movie. While years back I had heard the idea was to do something on Disney+, more recently I have heard the goal would be big screen adaptation, but as of now, these are just rumblings and nothing has been greenlit. Disney may have more of an interest on actual gaming instead of developing movies based on video games… Prince of Persia and Need For Speed were both duds for Disney.

So in one sentence they state "Disney is developing..." and in the next "...nothing has been greenlit." Taking this with a mountain of salt.

US Disney execs have never given many fucks about whether KH actually succeeds, and likely remains surprised to see it's still going 20+ years after the original experiment. I'm sure they're delighted to continue charging SE for licensing all their wonderful IPs and provide Haley a paycheck.
