But yes, Markstrom has been fantastic this year against every team except Edmonton for whatever reason. As much as I want to hope Calgary can miraculously come back from a 3-1 deficit, Edmonton is just playing better and Calgary has no answer for their offence. I mean, Markstrom and solid defence that worked against other teams was supposed to be the answer but well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mean, have to give credit where it's due. McDavid is playing on a totally different level compared to the rest of the league. And they finally have some scoring talent besides just Draisaitl to help him. Hyman and (...ugh) Kane have both been really good

I'll still say Kane has been great here. Could be just a low sample size of 50~ish games, but being in a more boring city like Edmonton has helped him. It's not like a Vegas or NYC where you can get lost in a lifestyle and nobody cares. Just victim #589345 of the big city. From a human standpoint, I wish him the best. The fact that on ice it's working great with McDavid is nuts. And before saying playing with McDavid is automatic points, it's not. You have to be able to keep up and adapt to him. He's not gonna slow down to Matrix bullet time to let you catch up. (Hall, Eberle, Neal etc rotating door of wingers like Philly and goalies) The worst is this summer since we have like 2 dollars to bring back Yammer, The Bison King, McLeod and see what's up with Evander. If he used this as a "GON' GET PAAAAIIIIID" then so be it. But I'd take this current version of him back in a heartbeat. Only a couple years at a time. Don't throw 473895 years at him and allow him to fall back. Treat every year as a "prove me wrong." type thing.

I will say one thing: Nurse annoys me to no end. Drop to one knee or stick flail, windshield wiper garbage instead of playing the body is annoying now. 8 more years of it at 9m is gonna be -_-

I still think it's gonna come down to Avs vs Tampa though
