I was still entertained but that was definitely the weakest AEW PPV so far.
Hopefully this is all a prelude to pulling the trigger on The Acclaimed and MJF at Grand Slam

That said, I had no idea the Acclaimed had that kind of match in them, was easily MOTN to me, over the Trios title and Ishii/Kingston.

A Chicago crowd cheering for MJF while Punk is standing in the ring with the title is a fantastic ending and helped save the PPV. Closing shots of a PPV being super memorable can help a lot, as opposed to stuff like the dud ending at Revolution 2021 or how many times we'd watch Super Cena/Reigns winning with interference for the millionth time.

I imagine this is what it would have looked like if social media was a thing back in the final year or so of WCW. Tony Khan is just sitting there looking fucking goofy while his top babyface runs down his executives and half the locker room. How can anyone in the back possibly respect TK after that? It's like... Bucks confronted Punk after the presser and apparently it got physical.
Lotta shit getting dumped out while most of the US was sleeping. Punk pissed off a lot of the roster and Tony is an absolute dumbass for letting him talk like that.

Gonna have to rewatch the Punk vs Mox match. Was in and out and only woke up to the Joker revealing himself as MJF. Sucks getting old.
Sounds like CM Punk went full Punk though and pissed everyone off lol.

The part I really really don't understand with all of that is why he brought Colt's mom into the discussion.
That entire rant was unsolicited from the people in attendance, he just went straight into it. SRS also stated after the fact that Bucks and Omega have never been his sources on the Punk/Colt stuff, which makes Punk look like even more of an asshole after blaming them for leaks.

SRS also thinks Malakai might be done. It's assumed he was the one who asked for his release because he's apparently been dealing with some personal/mental health shit on top of that long term back issue, and then the whole thing with him bowing to the crowd after the match.
