Christians deliberately confuse freedom of religion to mean freedom from any religion that isn't theirs and freedom from not having their religion determine aspects of everyone's life.

They pulled the same shit with slavery or segregation and tying it to Christianity to justify their selfish repression.

Kansas voters go to the polls tomorrow to decide whether to strip the right to abortion from the state's constitution (after which Republicans will immediately pass a ban on abortion).

The initiative is an attempt to overturn a 2019 decision by the Kansas Supreme Court, which ruled 6-1 that the state constitution “enables a woman to make decisions regarding her body, health, family formation, and family life, including the decision whether to continue a pregnancy.”

It really depends on Western Kansas, as most of Eastern Kansas voted early this year. A LOT of new voters and a lot of people (not churches lol) who are against changing the constitution.

It's an underhanded attempt by the shitty Republicans in Western Kansas to change the laws because they didn't like how the court ruled. Nobody wants it to pass, but there's a lot of anxiety that it may.
