Fucking nightmare. Congress passes a law, signed by Nixon, delegating authority to the administrative state to regulate air pollution, SCOTUS says "uh no".

My only guess is that the SCOTUS sees some sort of writing on the wall and they're trying to burn shit down before they lose control.

They want control wrenched from the federal government and into state governments, and they have the votes to do so, and it's going to be awful because our political system works poorly.

Cutting your family or anyone else for ANY reason that's a detriment to your wellbeing should be normalized if not encouraged and that's all I'm going to say about this one. The (modernized, American [white]) nuclear family is a cancer on society and it needs to die.

As someone planning a move for a long time. It is not easy. Keep in mind America is one of two countries that requires you to file/pay taxes while not living there. That and foreign banks don't want to deal with Americans a lot of the time due to FATCA requirements. This is all before thins like actually getting a visa or a foreign job (not an easy visa either), housing, language, culture shock, etc. Having a bank account too is often mandatory for housing or a job etc which forms a catch 22.

Most Americans that are used to living there don't actually fit the different lifestyle.

Its a little more narrow than that. Based upon my review (and C&Ping from talking with friends):

The Court seemed to take issue with the EPA using a stop-gap provision of its delegated congressional authority to make a major change in how it regulated emissions. Changing from making emissions cleaner, to discouraging entire sources of emissions by pushing plants to certain types of fuel. The Court said a change of that substance requires more from Congress's delegation than a stop-gap provision.

It'll be interesting if Dems manage to hold serve and possibly pick up PA or WI in November. The house is an uphill climb though, maybe the Roe decision and Biden promising to codify it with a house/Senate win could make it a dog fight.
