much like the elimination of the filibuster I have a hard time understanding how an expansion of the court doesn't stand to be a huge problem for the left in the future

It's not hyperbolic at all. You're just unwilling to see it.
And your litmus test for acceptable action is ridiculous. Why does it matter how serious they are when the entire point is that they showed up and got arrested?
Ask yourself this instead - if they hadn't, would you have even known a protest for reproductive rights had occurred that day?

Look at me everyone, I'm Spicyryan, I'm going to constantly assume the absolute worst of the people more closely aligned with my own values and shit talk them to no end while the GOP wins every fight and I keep wondering why and I don't say a word.
Makes one wonder.

Yes, the bravery of walking down the street and getting arrested on a misdemeanor of blocking traffic in a public thruway. Truly, this:

Is on par with:

Lol, you wouldn't have even known there was a protest otherwise. Maybe I, an unelected official without the same power as these ones. Should go sit in a local crosswalk with a 10"x12" cardstock that says "my body my choice." Since getting arrested on a misdemeanor is so edgy that even congressional officials are doing it.
Once again, these people work in the capitol, and this utterly limp resistance is typical of the best the democratic party can do.
Maybe you could provide an example of what action you wouldn't consider posturing?
And yet when they do that and they fail, you also complain. Clearly since you're such an oracle and know exactly how to resolve this, why haven't you gotten yourself elected and fixed it already?
they should have protested in the capital
Taking issue with limp resistance is the same as "why don't you go get elected"?
What's, with the shenanigans?
I chuckled.
Unintentionally, this makes a good point. Remember the gun violence sit-in on the House floor led by John Lewis in 2016? Now, that was actually a protest.
Yet, you've yet to really address any assertion, and instead make comments thatWhich is not only ignorant but emotional. It displays insecurity at dissent. As well as a lack of understanding at the assertions you comment on. Would prefer if you engaged instead of reacting in misperception.I'm Spicyryan, I'm going to constantly assume the absolute worst of the people more closely aligned with my own values and shit talk them to no end while the GOP wins every fight and I keep wondering why and I don't say a word.
While I know part of this is just dogpiling on Spicy because some are clinging to the flaws of incrementalism, I'd just like to say it's not really our responsibility to highlight every GOP act of evil, malice, ineptitude, and so on. We know they're rotten and like 90%+ of them should be gone. This is a big part of the "DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE!" aspect from leftists because you're never going to convince anyone else beyond the lesser evil schlock as long "do nothing democrats" is a buzz word with tangible legitimacy. We know any and all related to treasonous aspects of the current J6 investigations should not be taking part of legislation, nor be paraded around the media to continue to spin their lies. We know CT should be recused, if not impeached, due to things his wife is linked to. Decisions involving all parties can justifiably require a do-over once replacements are found and safeguards put into place to prevent repeat happenings.
You might be sitting there thinking that's not how the system works, but emphatically, that's how it should. Among other needed laundry list reforms, but let's just consider this a step one of routing corruption. Biden v Trump or DeSantis ins 2024 being anything more than a whisper is indicative of how fucked we are in terms of this being the best can do. Even swapping Biden for Harris or Pete is a demotivating shitburger. I'm not going to dig deep into how politics is designed to be working against our youth, but part of this is a direct result of the absence of young blood. You can't keep screeching for aid from the actual leftists just to turn around and say no can do with their wants, especially shifting the goalposts from majority to supermajority. Seeing an actual fight for their behalf is important, including the condemnation of those who break promises or betray the group because they, as 1 or 2 (bought out) people, somehow get to feel more important than 48+ others whose own constituents are also in need.
This government hasn't been collectively "for the people" for a long while now. We can do something about that or, well, pick your worst case scenario. None are appealing.
