Pre-cancellation (the first time), the Nate Griffin episode, he finds out not only was his direct ancestor a slave, but one who was owned by the Pewterschmidts (Lois's family).

The problem with this came later when we found out Francis Griffin wasn't really Peter's father, so he doesn't actually bear any blood relation to Nate (despite looking exactly the same).
