Let's listen and hear him out and not group think him.
I guess? I still play XI actually, and enjoy it. We all gotta go at some point, but no harm in trying to make it last. Your last 4 posts in this thread have been constant attacks, dont ya get tired man? lol.
Don't think I've said anything outlandish like that, its a pretty extreme exaggeration. Not saying you have to play nice, just saying debate is healthy for a forum. "6souls" kept suspending me anytime I would give my opinion, so it made me not want to bother anymore. I get disagreeing with other posters, but just because someone has a contrary opinion doesn't mean they should be silenced. As long as its not inciting violence or trolling, this is suppose to be a debate section last I recall, not spam.
Still double downing on blaming the victim lmao.
You mean the DNC favors candidates that can actually win elections shockedpikachu.gif. You and spicy represent a massively vocal minority among the people who actually vote. That probably won't be the case in the somewhat near future but sure keep trying to burn the house down trying. Like you really don't seem to appreciate how lucky we were that the far right fascist that was voted into the white house was a bumbling buffoon that kept tripping over his own feet.

Yeah I'm Irrationally fearful because I don't want to lose access to my affordable healthcare that the right has spent the last 12 years trying to take away.
Not sure how many times I can repeat that the lesser evil argument isn't going to win people. You guys like to wax that leftists won't vote, and that's because they're presented with the DNC handpicked milquetoast choices at the levels that matter that only keep things from getting worse at best. The chase for the mythical right-wing swing vote has alienated the left and contributed to that rightward creep.
We get it, Trump was a buffoon. It's advantageous to argue we just need to keep playing it safe and status quo'ing our way into continued wealth disparity, erosion of rights, and betrayals of various tenets of the nation. Playing clean up after each GOP reign from Reagan+ is what got us here, because the fear of helping people instead of corporations hamstrings probably 90% of policy. 40+ years of educational and institutional decay has done its job in bringing our idiocracy to life. Yes, I'm "idealistic" enough to believe this is actually reversible, both in a timely manner and without some monumental tragedy functioning as the catalyst for change, but you fuckers just keep screeching no, that it's not possible, that we can't actually let actions speak for themselves and win people that way.
I'd love to pack my bags, go elsewhere, and wash my hands of this shitshow, but the US being the poster child of the global stage means there's no real escape as long as our "freedom" is (c)overtly asserted in regions that risk showing the world people can live differently (See any and all made up resistance to the idea of socialized health care). Not going to jump down that rabbit hole of correlating us to Russia or even China like the other thread atm, but I have zero pride in this nation when I see so many fixable problems remain unfixed with 30% of the country zealously arguing against those fixes. And that's before so-called allies start finger wagging at the people wondering why the hell this stuff isn't being fixed even when we do have majorities.
I live in a red region where people are constantly voting against their own self-interest. I don't have to tell them it'll get worse because they consistently do it to themselves, hoping the institutionalized insanity will somehow be different the next time around. It's precisely why I don't see status quo as an improvement, either.
Astonishing how the right grasped the concept of the Overton window 40+ years ago and has kept the left having this same conversation ever since.

Maybe shift focus into ranked choice voting initiatives in states instead that way people feel safer voting for who they really want rather than who they think will win and maintain what they have.
I'm sorry? Do you not use it beyond a physical or basic matters? What part of affordable is this substandard shit? Granted, there are many surrounding circumstances there, but it's universally not very affordable for millions of Americans. Even then the system is fraught with financial pitfalls. To where people are afraid to use it even if they have it. To which the default will be "but the Republicans!"
You status quo Joes really only care about your own skins and stability. Being so desperate to hold on to that is why healthcare will continue to be substandard and largely unaffordable for most people.
Seriously though can you name one advancement in civil liberties and progress that wasn't a decades long undertaking? You all seem to think we just vote in your people and all the problems in the world will be solved in a single election cycle.
