New strategy
let the freemarket work
By excluding trans, you run dangerously close to violating Bostock. Refusing to cut a biological male's hair that wants it cut like female hair that you're perfectly capable of cutting, that's sex discrimination, even by the most conservative definition of sex. Outside of a very recent decision by the 6th circuit (and that wasn't a full decision), federal district courts as well as the appelate courts, have upheld trans rights based on the Bostock ruling in sex discrimination.
Using the 303 case in this circumstance is incredibly suspect. "take 3 inches from the bottom" isn't an expression of free speech the same as an author writing a website blurb. It's why 303 was different than the gay cake decision. It's an important aspect of the case.
Yea, TC leans more to the left... this isn't going to help them much. Never understood why a person would take a hard stance on this when they own a business. If i'm selling something, i want everyone to buy it... i don't care if you have a fuckin tail.
And nothing will happen because the SCOTUS has zero accountability.
Some of these are because of Supreme Court rulings. Idk where to put it. But there's going to be a lot of injured and dead queer and trans kids now that it's legal to openly discriminate against them.
We've been working the Kansas legislature pretty hard because we're not sure what the fuck they think it's going to solve (plus Kansas often tries to defy the will of the majority as evidenced by the multiple attempts to outlaw abortion despite it being voted against).
It's disappointing.
i would love to see a curriculum for the history and literature of the bible, specifically the history part
it's so funny some states are like, let's stop overcrowding our prisons by throwing people that smoke weed in them + figure out how to feed poor children, and others are like hmm how can we marginalize trans people further + strip away more women's rights
Louisiana, based off of those images alone.
No one state passes nothing but bad bills. But it's pretty easy to see the trend: blue states are passing (mostly) decent, if not incremental, legislation with a few unfortunate concessions. Conversely the red states are posting almost entirely "own the libs" bills with a couple of concessions of their own. LA has two huge blue cities so this is no surprise. You tend to see this sometimes in places like TN and GA too, since they also have multiple blue cities big enough to pull at least SOME weight in the state legislature.
which state has psilocybin at the pharmacy
SCOTUS will decide in February on whether or not it's legal to keep Trump off of ballots.
I’m sure Kavanaugh will step up.
I think 5-4 with Roberts siding with the liberal Justices that Biden is barred from the ballot in every state, and Trump is declared winner of all elections for every position in perpetuity.
