I love your take on this still has anything to do with "I love how me and Kaslo never said the things you guys aren't even saying we said" when the entire time Kaslo has argued the courts will come out on top and said people will stop Trump because the court would never cede power and also that loyalists wouldn't become problematic because justice system.

There's no better example of SCOTUS judges having no fucking clue about how the opinions they fucking draft will affect the country than Sam Alito at the 2010 State of the Union. Obama details precisely what comes to pass with citizens United just ONE WEEK after SCOTUS announced the decision.

And Alito, in his infinite Justice Wisdom says "Not true". id normally believe Alito was just corrupt. But no, he's that fucking dumb. It's like he was standing in the tracks of a moving train that's 100 yards away and claims he got blindsided. Just no way to see that coming, huh? Just a total shocker.



Any defense of the judiciary at this point is inexcusable.

In just the 2nd term, Trump has petitioned and got a ruling on FOURTEEN emergency petitions. He's won 10 of the 14, partially won 1, 1 was declared moot, and he's lost...2.

SCOTUS is granting his petitions at an unprecedented rate and handing him wins in 75% of those cases. It's fucking asinine.

He's brought more cases and had more cases heard in 5 months than Biden did in 4 years. And, like I said, twice as many as Bush and Obama had in 16 years.

It's time to accept the fact that the Supreme Court is compromised. Reading the opinions of Justice Brown continues to solidify that opinion fact.

No, they weren't all stays. Not all were applications for a emergency stay. An emergency stay application being granted is a W. They also vacated 3 orders.

In actual news, a decision tomorrow on whether religious parents can opt kids out of LGBTQ books and media while in school.

That's going to open some flood gates in conservative states (Oklahoma) when parents opt kids out of mandatory-for-graduation studies on Christianity.

Actually no. The debate was whether or not we could depend on the courts to do anything of substance because Trump would just ignore them, and that the fear was that he would just continue to do that and write stupid orders that would do potentially irreparable harm to society.

I think the courts (up to and perhaps excluding the supreme court) are more or less doing what they are designed to do.

We weren't supposed to elect criminals based on their campaign promises that, if elected, they would do crimes.

Louisiana v. Callais: Gerrymandering case about making a 2nd mostly black district in LA.

Federal Communications Commission v. Consumers Research: Constitutional violations of Congress granting power to private companies for building rural broadband.

Kennedy v. Braidwood Management: Can Obamacare mandate preventative care coverage by insurance companies?

Mahmoud v. Taylor: Can religious parents opt out of books that do not align with their religion?

Trump v. CASA: Can Trump end birthright citizenship/can judges issue nation wide injunctions.

Trump v Casa - district judges exceed authority by issuing nationwide injunctions. Essentially saying that district courts need to narrow injunctions to those harmed/with standing to sue.

How you feel about this case is largely dependent on who is in power. Both sides of the aisle have used and abused and complained about districts courts ability to issue injunctions.
