I really just want Fantasy Life before Fantasy Life tried to be a mobile game.

And I want Breath of Fire before Breath of Fire tried to make a soulless mobile cash-grab. Maybe we'll both get our wish someday.

I watched two of my good friends play this over the weekend. A pretty good plot, but it feels like a $40-sh game instead of a full $60. As much as SE doesn't like people waiting and grabbing games when they're on sale (shouldn't have cratered the price of all of your "western" games 2 weeks after they launched then!), I'd wait for a sale if you can.

$40 game is how I'm feeling about a lot of Square's recent releases: VP2; SO, and now this.

Not a spoiler, but this game picks up hard in the second half.

Finished up the game yesterday, well worth the box cost. The game is about 85% JRPG and 15% farm sim and the story starts picking up pace pretty quickly after chapter 3.
