Sounds like the Ukrainians have started taking back meaningful territory around Kharkiv.

They're miles from the actual (not annexed) Russian border now. Putin is getting absolutely shit on this week.
I'd like to point out that Ukraine didn't begin retaking territory until they started doing a lot of shelling.
It be important to also point out that they built up for this operation a lot, and thus were not shelling as much.
Kherson was not a feint for Kharkiv. They are two operations mutually supporting each other. The issue is that when the Russians broke it becomes contagious. They lack the defensive positions to fall back to or the reserves to throw at the weaknesses in their line or stem the bleeding. They can do nothing but run in disorganized chaos until the UAF become overstretched. The quantity of resources abandoned in working condition by Russians is astounding.
There's a risk of Ukraine over-stretching as well, though hopefully they are smarter than that.
This also raises the stakes for Putin. I'd like to believe that even he knows that a tactical nuclear strike would be the end of him, but I still worry.
Overstretching is a natural part of the battlefield. You don't truly know you are until it's too late. You can expect a danger of it to be present, but until a counter operation succeeds, then it's confirmed.
Lol, it wouldnt be the end of him. This "end of Putin this time!" stuff is like the Dems with Trump for the last 7 years.
Yeah, they'll get right on that.

He doesn't seem happy though.
So it begins: the slow process of pulling out of a losing war.
