LOL @high value prisoner. Im sure we got all the information we needed from this guy and we were done with him.
What information did Russia get from their high value prisoner? How to run the weave and/or how to get a weave?
No, he won't.

First, Bout is a spent force who will be out of jail in a few years anyway. His business depended on personal relationships and trust among the parties. After being out of the business for more than a decade, Bout has neither of those left in the shadowy world in which he once operated. Second, Bout needed access to a global network stretching from Afghanistan to Europe, Africa and South America. That network has morphed through several generations of new actors, markets and gatekeepers. Bout has no currency in that world now. Finally, Bout depended in the early years on the gross negligence of the former Soviet states to allow him to simply fly out aircraft and weapons in a spree of de facto privatization of one of the world’s most advanced arsenals. In his later years, he was reined in by the Russian state under Putin, no longer able to freelance at will and without unfettered access to massive caches of weapons. It is unlikely he would have any freedom of movement in the weapons trade unless he was in the direct service of the Russian intelligence services, and now he is burned beyond the ability to be useful in any significant capacity.
The bit about him somehow going free in a few years is silly. He was up for parole, but highly doubtful it would have been granted.
The rest yeah.
So when is the Mike Bibby for Saddam Hussein trade announced?
the dudes success came from the fact that nobody knew who the hell he was. he was under everyone's radar, until he wasn't, which is why he got caught.... he isn't under the radar anymore. atf & interpol will be on his ass for the rest of his life
Bout is useless as an actual arms dealer at this point, but Putin showing that he can get a guy like him out of prison probably earns him some brownie points with other undesirable types.

Some folks would rather get back a box.
the conservatives on my bookface are up in arms over this
Warmbier seems like a German insult.
Or a pokemon name
I mean really, he's not Magneto - he's an arms dealer who got caught arms dealing, which makes the future dealing of arms rather difficult.
Reddit isn't exactly a conservative breeding ground and it seems pretty upset about the swap, unless it's all some big psy-op
