I think you misunderstand. I dismiss him because he clearly uses his avatar to bolster this “military expert persona” to those who don’t know any better.

- Serve two years in the military and you automatically make E-4 as long as you don’t fuck up. He’s still an E-3 in the photo.

- He’s wearing ACUs which leads me to believe this picture was probably taken some time between 2006-2012ish. However that uniform was never issued en mass by the Air Force to go downrange. Except for a handful of dumb units wanting to blow their own budget despite SecAF recommending not to do so at the time. They literally did not have a regulation on the proper wear of an ACU. Shit most motherfuckas were still wearing desert storm era DCUs in 2008. After 2012 the Air Force started their own bastardized version of multi-cams/OCPs altogether as the standard issue.

So this tells me he was probably one of those douchebags that put a rail system on his M4 despite never going outside the wire, and bought his own uniforms to look ultra cool. Iamverybadass indeed.

- He’s also wearing an SF sleeve so 99% chance this photo was taken in either Kuwait or Qatar. No, “SF” in the Air Force does not mean Special Forces. There was also little to no Air Force “Security Force” mission in Iraq or Afghanistan. It’s all handled by Army MPs except for an extremely small population. Which leads me back to my E-3 point.

- He’s clearly not part of any unit that would fit the criteria he’s trying to insinuate.
