Explain why Campbell at 5m is bad but Murray at 4.7 is good?
I think they're a wash, but Campbell's deal is going to be longer than Murray's 2 years and harder to get out of if it goes badly.
I mean, I'd rather just stick with Jack at 5 but at this point I'm really not convinced 5 is even going to be the number. And I also think it's pretty interesting that all these Oilers rumors are out there when they shouldn't have been able to speak with him until tomorrow, lol.
It's been like that for every team/player like "JG is going to Philly/NJ" because he's left 8x 9.5 on the table.
Or the automatic "Kuemper to Caps" as soon as they got Georgiev
Makes sense to stir up only team without a starter gonna be tied to the only starter left.
Throw enough darts, one will be right
Well there was that 7 year window where UFA's could talk to multiple agents 5-7 days in advance, just not sign until July 1st. I thought this was still the case, but was humbled to find out that it was actually redacted at the last CBA adjustment.
Despite that, I refuse to believe that teams arent talking to pending UFA's regardless of what the rules are. We all know by tomorrow at 12:30pm est there will have been multiple contracts signed despite the fact that the window to discuss contracts should have only been open for 30 minutes.
Sounds like some chatter with the Sharks dealing Brent Burns soon.
Also sounds like Johnny Gaudreau is going to test the market, which is kinda nutty if the rumor of a 10x8 offer from the Flames is true.
He got fed up of country music, dont blame him.
I wonder where Kadri + Gaudreau are going to go
Vegas Golden Lightning, where salary caps don't exist
Apparently Gaudreau is going to Jersey, 10.2m x 7yrs
Cant wait for the fast and furious signings. Always fun to see where guys are gonna end up and for how much. Wonder who the biggest over pay will be and from whom?
