Not to white golden knight for the knights, but had they won the cup against the Caps in 2018 didnt get Shraked by the Sharks in 2019 (they can blame whoever they want, but at the end of the day they blew a 3-1 series lead and a 3-0 lead in game 7), or ran into Price in 2021, no one would question their failed asset management. Which just goes to show just how hard it is to win the cup: even if you make "all-in" trades heavily mortgaging the future for the present, theres no guarantee of anything.

But their asset management has been fucking TERRIBLE, and that may be a complimentary term.
