Krysten Ritter is officially back as hard-fighting, hard-drinking Marvel hero Jessica Jones.
The announcement was made during Disney’s upfront presentation to advertisers in New York on Tuesday. Ritter took the stage with Charlie Cox, star of “Daredevil Born Again,” to reveal that she would be joining that show for its second season.
“It’s so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and ‘The Defenders’ and now joining the MCU,” Ritter said. “I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”

so i never watched the netflix daredevil/punisher/etc series...will i be lost if i dive into the MCU Daredevil S1?
You'll probably figure it out but you'd be missing a ton of context. And they're good shows you should watch anyways (except for Iron Fist)
not necessarily lost, but you'll be missing a lot of context/history/appreciation for things. Watching the original Daredevil (with Defenders slotted in between s2 and s3) would be the most essential (and it's good) then the rest in terms of quality I'd say (some seasons vary) Punisher > Jessica Jones > Luke Cage >>> Iron Fist.
also there was Kingpin plot development after DD S3 and before Born Again in Hawkeye and in Echo, neither mandatory but if you haven't seen them a quick summary or something might help fill in gaps
