Caitua -is- a bitch. She just is. She has her reasons, but they still don't stop her from being what she is. She has some crippling issues.

she's more a damaged and used victim acting out than a bitch, especially compared to bitchmade Vyce running about
fundamentally she just wanted a quiet life with the last family she has, not the war Denam drags her into and all that follows. but i'd say one of the game's strengths is the depths of characterization. is Caitua really a bitch or more constantly desperate and afraid and a terrible decision maker. is Denam, even good guy Denam, really an altruist or fighting more for his self-interest. even sadist Vyce is ultimately just a kid trying to find an outlet for his traumatized rage and a place to belong (and Lawful Vyce obv much different).
Its great: my password for my DND account is literally "VyceisaBitch". Bro is so thirsty for Caitua's tail and approval that he's literally whatever Denam isn't, so he can show how much better he is than him. Vyce, you really were the proto-Delita of the day. <3
As for Caitua, I won't spoil until our little friend here goes back and CODAs a few more times, but it wasn't just "a quiet life with the family she has". Its a little deeper than that, lol. She's about 2 seconds from "i-its not like we're blood related, step-bro!"
symbolic incest can be quiet
I like how like 90% of these biographies in the Warren Report are like a list of each person’s accomplishments and family history and life goals, and the last sentence be like “And then they met Denam in battle and died.”
"Here is how they lived.
Here is how they died."
Well boys just had my first legitimate L, got to the final map of the forest deep dungeon and got molly whopped. I was absolutely breezing through and then the difficulty spiked hard. The enemy had dragoons that murdered my dragon tanks, ninjas that poisoned/petrified me, and samurais (or sword masters as this game calls it) that eviscerated me. Caught me totally unawares with the jump in difficulty. I’ll try again. Neat.
Beat it. This time I went double dragon tanks with dragon scale and a beast master to give them empower dragon, the just let them come to me and had my wizards aoe nuke them down every turn EZ clap
L O L
This Leonar duel is some high class bullshit
The OG Weigraf moment.
Just remember: this is the game that started it all. There was this and Fire Emblem. Anything you loved about FFT, FF12 or Vagrant Story came from Matsuno right here.
This is that good, OG shit.
Well I made it to chapter 4, avoiding specifics to not spoil but I picked up two characters that have Velocity Shift and Rampart Aura and this shit feels game breaking to have them together but I’m here for it
Also this game has really helped me manage my chores around the house well. When I need to do training I just set the AI and go cook dinner or clean the house or laundry or whatever
Is there a way to stop AI from using my mana regen items or do I just need to unequip them before fights
you just have to unequip them, its by the far most annoying part of ai control. They will just burn through any mana items you have.
I think I am approaching the final push and I stand by my assertions that Catiua is a bitch
Spoiler: show
MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Welcome to one of the hardest things to get "right" as a first time player. You have 3 choices, and answering any of them wrong = F.
Enjoy the ending, and worry not; that's what CODA is for. You'll be able to go back and replay things, keeping all your stats and items and characters.
Was this a true 1v1 or the one where you start with 3 guests? Even though they bitch out pretty fast
If it's the latter I 1 shotted it lol. Denam was a Terror Knight. Picked up a couple crit + physical card while the NPCs got wrecked. His Finishing Move Crit Leonar for 550~. Even still, as I was about to win he did parry my final hit and 1 shot me. But luckily I was able to rewind and just heal for a turn and then killed him with a counter lol
If I hadn't gotten that massive crit though, I can imagine how much of a pain this would've been.
It was the 1 v 1, I tried it a handful of times but it was woefully apparent I didn’t have my Denam with the necessary job or items required and it felt waaaay too rng dependent on the card buffs so I said fuck it and did the party battle instead just to continue on.
