Getting big Bob Odenkirk vibes right now where noone knows much of anything (and if they do it isn't making it to press out of respect), except in the other direction of positive. Hence the "pray for Mike Leach".

If he survives, it won't be a great quality of life deal I imagine at this point.

The sport was better for him being in it. This is truly a big loss.

It's amazing how much he influenced college ball. The Vols would probably not be were they are right now if it wasn't for him. In 2000 when he was OC for Oklahoma he took a chance on a transfer student from a college nobody had ever heard of to play QB. That QB went on to lead the Sooners to a National Championship and was runner up for the Heisman. Josh Heupel. I dought I need to say much to fans after that.. career cut short in NFL because of injury, went back to coach college, phenomenal stint at UCF.. and then we are lucky enough to get him. His second year in and we are going to a New Years Six game with the best record we've had in 20 years.

Coach Leach was one of the greatest of all time. He will be sorely missed.

Lane Kiffen's statement and subsequent interview on ESPN were absolutely gutting. You could tell he was crushed. I can't imagine Bama/Auburn coaches or UNC/Duke coaches having a reaction like that. I think it probably speaks volumes about how universally adored Leach was.
