Honestly, the tears were shed last year. This time was just a smile, pride in the alma mater, and joy for this team accomplishing something historic out of the shadow last years team cast.

Georgia football player Devin Willock and a recruiting staff member were killed in a car wreck in Athens early Sunday morning, the university confirmed in a statement.

Willock, a redshirt sophomore from New Milford, New Jersey, started two games on the offensive line this past season. Recruiting staff member Chandler LeCroy also was killed, according to the university.

College football is changing one of its oldest rules.

The clock will no longer stop after a 1st down beginning with the 2023 season. The change is an attempt to speed up the games. The clock WILL stop following first downs within the final two minutes of each half.

Expect a lot less comeback victories with this rule change. Teams that take a commanding lead are likely going to keep it.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised to see them shortening the game as some backwards way for the NCAA to say "well games are 10% shorter now, so we can add 2 more games".
