Apparently they have a very acute weakness to acid.

So rolled credits after 127 hours and my immediate thought to sum the game up was to call it Metal Gear Stranding but after sitting on it for a few days (and while that ain't entirely wrong to call it that) i'd say more accurate to actually call it Death Stranding 1.5.
Gameplay wise its just a straight improvement over 1 imo but story wise....if i were to put a number to it i'd say 5/10 at best and keeping it spoiler free all i'll say is that while there were some genuinely fun and bonkers moments overall it just felt like a reduction from 1, still overall i enjoyed my 127 hours of road and zip-line building and i'll more than likely go through it again once the PC version.
Damn that's saying a lot cause the universe they created in 1 was really interesting, but the story was bare bones and kinda mediocre. To hear the plot took a step back even more is a bummer, but I really do think of this game as a different type of factory simulator so sign me the fuck up once it's released on PC.

i thought the story was the best part of 1 tbh, especially Mads Mikkelsen doin his thing, disappointing to hear 2 is a regression
The way the story is told is improved, but the story itself is kinda whack. But the gameplay is still addicting as ever
Finished it a few days ago after 140~ hours and I'm really split on my feelings for it. I agree the gameplay is improved in just about every facet over the original, but that felt like it caused some of the charm and accomplishment from the original to be lost. I felt like I didn't have to interact with the environment or anything much, vehicles, skeletons, and tools just made it all a non-issue too quickly.
Minor not really a spoiler if you've watched trailers.
Spoiler: show
Spoiler question of an endgame cutscene.

Also 100% on it feeling like some of the charm was lost with the improvements, it felt like there wasn't nearly as much terrain harshness to overcome because you got some of this stuff so early.

Do wonder if i'll feel the same way about the story after what? 8 months by the time of release and having replayed DS1 again in that time or if i were being too harsh.
