Well then, isn't this just precious?
Literal perfection doesn't exist though so the title could have used some work.
Social democracy and democratic socialism are two different things. The first is capitalism economy with social intervention and the later is generally referred to as a socialist economy, but also a mixed economy or planned economy. It can be a bit open ended depending on the user. Think Yugoslavia vs the USSR.
Guys, what’s the one problem right now that’s not gonna be around in 2070? The elderly and the disabled. Cuz we’re just GONNA KILL EM! …WE’RE JUST GONNA KILL EM!
explain what you want instead of the current system in as much depth as you are capable, why you think it is better, and why you do not think it would fail.

Abolition of private property. Reminder, private property is not personal property.
Abolition of landlords.
A balance between worker directed enterprise and central planning.
Heavy progressive tax.
Guaranteed healthcare.
Abolition of tuition.
Abolition of inheritance.
Etc.
and what sort of government structure would be the ones putting forth such monumental changes. do you see any problems arising with a 100% elimination of inheritance?
please continue to craft your ideal world, im heading to work for a little
I don't have a crystal ball, but I don't think it is a coincidence that unrest has increased globally. There is a growing strain on the dominant economic system of the world. Which is unable to meet the needs of the people and the environment while inequality grows.
Europe is a poster child for this. In a system that demands exponential growth, they are struggling, and their direct solution of immigration has a poor track record of integration. It's no coincidence we are seeing a surge to the right.
Man I had a fun who asked gif all lined up thinking Spicy made this thread but it turns out panda did ask![]()
between this thread and the Russia thread…starting to think it might be time for another extinction level event, we had a good run boys and girls >.>
Abolition of landlords is weird. A building let alone a property is very difficult to maintain, and if you are expecting transience with renters and the like, the property would very quickly fall into disrepair.
Sounds like you really want to abolish slum lords and shitty land lords like Archie, which I'm all for.
Jk Archie.
This concept generally hangs people up for whatever reason. Landlords are destructive parasites. Middlemen who provide no service and exploit the communities they seek to monopolize. It is the communal theft of a necessary resource. Housing is not a commodity to be bought and sold for profit, but a right and essential benefit to a society.
Abolition of landlords is a hand in hand concept with abolition of private property. Which is to say, abolition of owning your home in any form.
Probably need to figure out the right way to do it though, so that it doesn't turn into this:
