that shit was devastating man i remember in the early days of Ayton's career when he was a much worse defender he guarded Giannis real well for one game and every Suns fan was like damn look at the potential! then he grew into the potential, became one of the better defensive bigs in the league, guarded Giannis well whenever they played. arrive at the NBA Finals, game 1, boom, held Giannis to 20 points and 4 assists. Ayton is the Giannis stopper. we got this.

Wood has some issues but he's a legitimate 20-10 second option who is 38% career from 3. a pretty weak second star but he's a (slightly) better offensive player than Porzingis and isn't injured every April.

The Lakers roster is so amazingly bad outside of Bron/AD it's actually fascinating. Assembling an entire roster without even a single player that would classify as an average 3 point shooter in today's game is wild.

The Lakers roster is so amazingly bad outside of Bron/AD it's actually fascinating. Assembling an entire roster without even a single player that would classify as an average 3 point shooter in today's game is wild.

It really is shocking because they have so many top 75 players of all time on the team.

I definitely view AD as a fringe 75 guy. He's only won 40+ games twice in his entire career, and he's never played on a 50 win team. I'd even go as far to say that he's a bigger "empty stats" guy than Russ but idk if y'all are ready for that conversation

AD is def fringe, he was solidly on the trajectory until last season, now we'll see. Would be interesting if the Lakers do a teardown before the trade deadline and deal him to a decent team.

Barring injury and him actually playing more than 80% of any season, he's a top echelon player. Like I said earlier about the Knicks, it isn't always about being good, it's about being consistent. If AD is present and not limping around (and the Lakers actually have a better supporting cast) that's the consistency you can rely on.
