Having strong ties to The Bay and being a huge fan of both teams... this series has been intense.

The optics of "The Stomp" were just so bad... hella theatrical by both parties, lol. I kinda just had to stfu about it. I do understand the suspension, again, just because of how bad it "looked" but I don't agree with it. Bro needed to chill with all the extras (even though I'm here for the BS) with the Commissioner sitting courtside, he's a dummy for that.

If the Kings do take the series, gonna be hard to hear all the " but Draymond suspended" talk and not be like... yeah. I'd much rather be seeing both teams at full strength.

Westbrook fucking balled out hard today, but Clips can't just can't compete with Kawhi and PG out.

I absolutely respect them going for it, but man did the clippers massively disappoint these last 4 years. Wonder if they're gonna try to keep it going with the new arena opening next year or just blow it up this off-season

i mean the morris over covington thing alone cost the team several games when it became clear morris couldn't score anymore and whatever marginal defense he had left had completely fallen off a cliff. clips POA defense got exploited to the nth degree with him in, while covington/batum/mann consistently got less minutes or DNP's - despite defense and activity being by far the biggest needs for the team. pretty much every time morris was out for injury or out cause of an ejection, covington would come in, turn the game around, post a stupidly effective line, and get DNP's as soon as morris was back. it was mind-boggling.

it even dated back to the end of last year where an on-fire powell just couldn't get big minutes, while morris/reggie jackson continued to get big time minutes in the play-in games, despite them showing night in and night out that season that once they went over 28 minutes or so, they turned into zombies on the court.

like seriously, just that alone puts them in the 3 seed, and at least in contention to fight for #2, imo. one thing that was absolute magic in the rare instances everyone was healthy and it was an option, was the 5 wing lineup that did NOT include morris, and covington was supposed to be apart of that.

that's not even counting the schematic failure of letting paul george pretend he was lebron/magic and literally throw the ball away over and over and over in critical possessions, not using mann nearly enough even WHEN reggie was shipped out. and bad TO's/low energy/lacking defense in the starting lineup/crunch time lineups were a problem he immediately turned around, FWIW. that's also not to mention by the end of the season he was having a weird feud with the front office about point guards and playing morris too much. like i was for sure he was gonna be fired if they lost that 6th game with westbrook in the lineup. or the times the team would run up big leads only to give them away because he was obsessed with 3-guard and eventually 4-guard lineups (often with an immobile morris as the 5 lol)

Crazy thing is, across the 3 games they shot 60%, 44%, and 49% from 3. Even their catastrophically bad game they were still pretty hot.
