if they do get to the Finals this finna be one of the most improbable runs of all time. from losing to Atlanta and being a game away from being outside the playoffs, then immediately losing 1 of their 3 offensive hubs in Herro + a rotation piece in Oladipo, to knocking off 1 + 2 + 5

Well this Heat team being this good doesn't really make any sense.

Spo is an amazing coach and dawgs got that Jimmy in them, but on paper they've been outclassed by every team they've faced in the postseason (ok well maybe not the Knicks with postseason Julius Randle eating minutes) and were very much deserving of their standing as an eighth seed during the regular season.

None of this makes sense, but remembering that this ~same Heat team was a 1-seed last season and was a missed Jimmy 3 away from making the finals helps.

well Jimmy is one of the great playoff performers of the era and as Archo says this Heat core was ECF Game 7 last year and NBA Finals in 2020. also got p lucky with the Giannis injury. but luck or no they are clutching these wins, even more impressive than last year as they're down two rotation players and dealt with a ton of instability / inconsistency all season. offense had crated to 25th in the league during the regular season and looked like the roster was running out of steam.

I don't think the Lakers will win this series

I was worried about the Lakers viability after the trade deadline because they lacked a true 5. AD hasn’t been bad as a help defender but I feel like they’re missing that Dwight/Javale type down low.

I don’t know how the Lakers move forward from here tho, bron no longer has a 6th gear and the Lakers can’t keep up with Denver’s pace

but ye they are getting run off the court with one-ankled Bron. D'Angelo and Schroeder have been absolute cheeks after winning them a couple games in the other series

Petty sure he's playing hurt right now, think he needs surgery on his foot once the season is done.

But yeah he's notably taken possessions off for years now to conserve his energy, but it's becoming a lot more visible now that he is in fact 38 years old
