Idk maybe the news didn't spread as heavily outside of the NFC West/Seattle but it's been known for years that he didn't get along with his teammates at all.

I do remember years ago our base was doing a publicity thing with the Hawks (since the Coast Guard is literally across the street from their stadium), and the entire roster outside of Wilson was there. Seeing DK Metcalf in person next to normal sized human beings was a major trip

In all seriousness though, I think he's actually talking about the LOB instead of Wilson. As far as I remember he actually is one of the few Seahawks who liked him, and the LOB guys feeling like Russ got too much credit was a big talking point.
